Engineer Nassif Seklaoui, President - Director General of the Lebanese Regie for Tobacco, welcomed the Mayor of Siddiqine, Mr. Muhammad Belhas, who was accompanied by Mr. Hassan Azzam. Also present at the meeting were the Head of Agriculture and Procurement, Eng. Jaafar Al-Husseini, and the Director of Tobacco Leaves Department, Eng. Abdul Mawla Al-Mawla.
During the meeting, Mr. Belhas conveyed the concerns of the farmers, requesting that their challenges be considered in light of the current difficult circumstances. He also commended the Regie for consistently working to safeguard the farmers’ rights.
In response, Engineer Seklaoui reaffirmed his commitment to addressing the farmers’ situations, particularly in southern regions, emphasizing that “their rights are protected”.
