Who are the jury

The Jury Members will be selected and notified one day prior to the Winners selection.
The Jury panel will be composed of industry professionals.

All images are judged ‘blind’. This means every single image that you upload is critiqued by the jury, but they won’t know who the photographer is until they have decided the finalists and winners.

Engineer Jaafar Al Husseini - Regie Member

A Lebanese-French agricultural engineer. He studied in the American University of Beirut AUB.
He worked from 1997 till now as a "Chef de Département des achats et des agriculteurs de tabac" at Régie Libanaise Des Tabacs Et Tombacs.

1995-1996: Agricultural Engineer of the project "Urgent Provision of Agricultural and Veterinary raw materials available in South Lebanon and the Bekaa" OSRO / LEB / 302 / MUL project by The F.A.O.
1993 -1994: Internship in Greenhouse plants in Tyre.
1992: Internship in Bekaa farms of the American University Of Beirut.

General characteristics: Originality, Style, Context, Photographic vision, Empathy, Insight, Validity.

Noting that he is a member of the jury for the second consecutive year.

Fadi Bou Karam - CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Fadi BouKaram is a Lebanese photographer and a reformed corporate drone. After a career spanning computer engineering, banking and fiscal laws, he gave it all up in 2016, flying to the U.S. to go on a 5-month caravan road trip, visiting 47 towns named Lebanon and photographing them.

Fadi is the co-founder of the international collective ‘Observe’ and has exhibited both solo and with the collective worldwide. He is also working on his first book."

Visual and aesthetic criteria: Framing and choice of viewpoint, Background, Design elements and principles, Appropriate application of photographic and/or manipulative techniques, Visual impact.

Mahdi Skafi - Professional photographer

A Lebanese photographer, professional in landscape photos.
He studied Graphic design in the American University College of Science and Technology AUST.
He works as a Freelancer in the domain of photography, Documentary & Short Movie Production.
He attended several workshops in Lebanon and Foreign Countries in (film directing, documentary film making, photography, Short movies, Scenario & Script writing) and get many photography awards.

Technical criteria: Exposure Focus/sharpness , Depth of field, Color and/or tonal rendition, Contrast, Lighting.

Noting that he is a jury member for the second consecutive year.
