The municipalities of Arka and Al-Amara in Akkar have started the implementation of two projects aimed to build irrigation canals for tobacco fields in the respective towns. This initiative is carried out by the Lebanese Regie with the financial support of Japan tobacco International JTI.
The Regie announced in a statement that the implementation of these two projects is an initiative it has undertaken with the support and funding of the leading tobacco company Japan Tobacco International (JTI).
The Organization explained that the projects are part of its sustainable development strategy, aimed at enhancing farmers' livelihoods, reducing production costs, boosting crop yields, and preserving water resources.
